After graduation I started to sell my designs in local boutique's. They were quickly sold because the designs were very different and special. They wrote about it in the newspaper. As a result, my designs were copied and I got no money for it. That is why I started to work as a senior designer. I designed for young women age 16-28 and made this label 't Lievertje, very successful. After a couple of years I needed a new challenge. I became the senior designer for childrens and men's department at a trading company. The childrens department grew rapidly under my leadership and therefore I had to transfer the men's department to a colleague designer. My designs were sold to big compagnies like C&A, Wehkamp and other buying groups in Holland, Germany and Belgium. I worked here untill my first daughter was born. Then I picked up my passion for painting again. Free work and portrait orders. In 1996 I founded my turn2befree compagny (ceramic urns). In 2002 I got back into fashion, making couture patterns for bridal wear and I worked a few years in the sales at the high fashion segment. Ten years ago I startet as fashion teacher for fashion drawing; color science; costume history and marketing. And nowadays for patternmaking and sewing.
